Our Team
Allan Mackenzie
President
Allan Mackenzie is the President and sole shareholder of MVI. As President, he oversees the day to day activities of the company, and directs MVI's long term business strategy. A particular feature of his leadership is a determination to preserve an intense hands-on management of the company's projects, to best serve the needs of MVI's public and private customers.
Allan holds a Master's degree in Land Economy from Cambridge University in the UK. He is active in area wide community development, and has played a leadership role in numerous community and industry organizations. Allan is a licensed General Contractor in the State of California.

Lionel Uhry
Chief Executive Officer
Lionel Uhry joined MVI in 2006 and currently serves as Chief Executive Officer, overseeing MVI's investment management and development activities aimed at maximizing returns for MVI and its investors. During his time at Mar Ventures Lionel has played a crucial role in numerous projects totaling over 3,000,000 SF of development and entitlements.
Lionel serves as a professor in the Master of Real Estate program at the University of Southern California, where he also earned a Master’s Degree. In addition, Lionel holds a Professional Certification in Construction Management from the University of California, Los Angeles, is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of California, and a certified LEED AP.

Sarah Chionis
Senior Vice President, Senior Property Manager
As Senior Vice President of Property Management, Sarah Chionis oversees the property management staff in the day-to-day operations of the portfolio as needed, and interfaces with Owners on a regular basis to ensure satisfaction and quality of services. Sarah joined MVI in 2004, and has managed 1.2M SF of commercial space for MVI including portfolios for Raytheon and Toyota.
Sarah is prior Chair of BOMA South Bay/Long Beach Regional Council. She continues to expand her knowledge in the field of asset management through outside educational offerings and holds RPA and FMA Designations.

Gary Lyter
Senior Vice President, Finance & Administration
Gary Lyter Joined MVI in January 2019, having previously worked with MVI on several major commercial development projects while serving as CFO at another development company. Gary has extensive experience managing all aspects of the accounting and tax functions, investment-entity structuring and coordination / management of banking and investor relationships. He also has considerable experience in residential development as well as commercial property management.
Gary Holds a BS in Accounting from Juniata College, Huntingdon, PA and earned his CPA in the State of Texas.

Jean-Michel Reynolds
Vice President, Construction
Jean-Michel joined MVI in 2017 and as Senior Construction Manager, Jean-Michel implements the preconstruction, construction, and project closeout phases of MVI's development projects and manages project controls to complete projects in a timely and cost effective manner.
Jean-Michel graduated with Honors from Pepperdine University with a Masters of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Management and Leadership. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Development & Construction Management from Arizona State University. He also holds the following certifications; Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society, PMP, LEED GA, and OSHA 30-Hour.

Lori Gomez
Vice President, Accounting and Human Resources
Lori Gomez joined Mar Ventures in 2012 and holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Iowa. As Vice President of Accounting and Human Resources, Lori oversees the accounting department in all facets - from financial statement reporting and budgets, in all areas of real estate, to administration of all company policies, procedures and benefits.
Lori has over 30 years of experience in the real estate industry, but continues to enjoy expanding her extensive knowledge and work ethic in any way possible.
